MOVED!!!

Hey hey hey fellow addicts! I am SO sorry for not keeping up with things. Between school kids and hit by the recession of having NO job it kinda kills ya spirits a bit! To God be the glory though, b/c I still have my health and well being and my kids are doing well. Anyway, I will be closing down this blog though. School is starting to REALLY kick my butt and I don't have the time or heart right now to at least keep you guys up to date on the make up scene like I used to.

I will be starting a new blog site that'll just keep up with the er'day things and thoughts I have when it comes to mind. My personal site Nessa-Ness will be up and running shortly. I'm gonna try to see if I can either get back on my PSP game and get a layout set up OR......pay for someone to make it for me, lol. Looks like option 2 might be the better option for me.

Finding Your Skin Undertones

I was in the mirror today and I noticed something different. I noticed w/ the weather here in Texas going from cold, hot and rainy to another other damn weather pattern, my skin color has changed. I noticed that my skin was lookin kinda yellow-y and basically, no way sexy....lol.

So I took a ride up to my local MAC and let them know of my issue. My MA suggested we try a NW45 and I'd be damn, it went on and I saw NOTHING! It was sooooo pretty to me! So I came to a conclusion that in the fall/winter months I'll use my NC50 and spring/summer I'll switch back to NW45. In case you're wondering I bought the mineralized satin finish foundation. I chose that one b/c since my skin is oily as hell in the summertime thanks to good olesweat...lol....I figure that the less foundation on me is the better. Besides, there's no point of using a full coverage foundation in Texas in the summertime b/c by 12 noon you swear it all off.....lol.

Today's FOTD comes from these earrings I picked up yesterday. I couldn't pass them up in the store, they were too cute. I love the threaded earrings but I really don't wanna pay over $10 for them. So far, I'm finding the ones I like at pretty decent prices. This particular pair I found at Charlotte Russe. They had 2 for $8 deal so I went ahead and picked those up and some other pairs of theraded earrings.

Easter Sunday FOTD

Happy Easter Addicts!! I know I've been M.I.A. for a GOOD minute now, but you know a life of a single mom is hectic and let's face it, when I get a "free" moment....it's time to get to bed and start the day ALL over again....lol. Anyway, I went for somewhat neutral colors this year. I wore a simple white top and linen pants (yeah, my mama was NOT happy about that one, lol) w/ some fierce gold heels from baby phat. Matter of fact, the top and pants were baby phat too....lol.

I ♥ CCO's!!

Ok, on a quick errand to Best Buy, I decided I needed to take a drive out to my outlet mall and go to a CCO...lol. The best Buy is maybe 5 minutes from my house, but the outlet mall is about 20-30 minutes, lol. So my lil 5 minute errand turned into about an 1 1/2 hour errand, lol. I picked up some NICE things!! I finally scored "X-Rocks" from the Neo Sci-Fi Collection. it's so pretty. I would give you guys swatches, but it seems like for this particular time, my camera is taking some blurry shots *rolls eyes and snarls* damn camera! LOL!

I also picked up some new shadows. Woodwinked, Top Hat and Satin taupe. I needed to build up my browns so Woodwinked and Satin Taupe will go there. Top Hat on the other hand is a pretty purple. I picked up most of the neutrals from the Starflash collection like Glamour Check, Go, Bold and Brazen , Dreamweaver and Sunset B as a splash of color. But Top Hat was the reason why I wanted the Starflash collection in general. Of it's so pretty. I can't wait to try it out!! I also scored another Kohlpower Eye pencil. I actually came back with 2 - Feline (I LOOOOOOVE THIS PENCIL!!!) and Raven. I got it just b/c it's purple....lol. if you haven't been able to tell, Purple is my die hard FAVORITE color!

OH!! I also picked up my first pigment!! Yeaaa me! I'm tryin I'm tryin, LOL! I was tellin one of my twitter friends and fellow makeup lover E. that I really don't want to fool with pigments. Why? Well, I have my babies. and if ONE of them jokas come nears it and it DROPS on the floor!!!! OH, it's on FA REAL!!! LOL. Guess what color it is though....don't worry I'll wait........give up? It's Violet, lol. I just told ya'll that I liked purple, so Violet was an absolute buy.

And to conclude my CCO rampage is the purchase of a 242 brush. I use the 252 daily so I know the 242 will be wonders for me as well.

Long Hair Don't Care

Yes, while I dearly LOVE my short hair........I'M BORED out of my DAMN mind with it!!! LOL So, what else do you do when you want a change? GET SOME HURR GURRRL!! LMAO!!

I need to let my hair rest for a while anyway, I'm tired of going to the salon every week or 2 just to get the same or something similar to the style I always get. I have it crimped right now so I can have that "wavy" look. This pic was taken like 3 weeks ago, I think. Anyway, like it? Hate it? If you hate it, oh well.....sucks to be you right now.....lmao! Guess Who's Bizzaaak!!!!

Hey my lovely M.A.C. and fellow make-up loving divas!! Long time no see! I just wanted to post a quick update to let EVERYONE know that yes, Ms. Nessa is alive and well....lol. I've just been busy with school, home and my job (I'll tell you later) that I've just been super duper busy! Anyway, this is my most recent pic, I have cut my hair shorter than this since that last pic, but my charger is M.I.A. right now so I can't show you guys the madness I've created on my head.....lol. Anyway, it's cute, but I think I'm gonna go back to the above length. it's way too short for me to get used to.

Now, if you're wondering, yes I landed the job with the State agency and I'm lovin it! Well, he paycheck part that is.....lol. I haven't really bought a lot of make-up this year, but I did pick up some eye shadows from the chill collection as the year was ending. So far, I only have 1 MAC purchase and that's when they had the 25% off sale and I definately cleaned up. Anyway, I just wanted to post a lil something and let you guys know I'm here.
