Finding Your Skin Undertones

I was in the mirror today and I noticed something different. I noticed w/ the weather here in Texas going from cold, hot and rainy to another other damn weather pattern, my skin color has changed. I noticed that my skin was lookin kinda yellow-y and basically, no way sexy....lol.

So I took a ride up to my local MAC and let them know of my issue. My MA suggested we try a NW45 and I'd be damn, it went on and I saw NOTHING! It was sooooo pretty to me! So I came to a conclusion that in the fall/winter months I'll use my NC50 and spring/summer I'll switch back to NW45. In case you're wondering I bought the mineralized satin finish foundation. I chose that one b/c since my skin is oily as hell in the summertime thanks to good olesweat...lol....I figure that the less foundation on me is the better. Besides, there's no point of using a full coverage foundation in Texas in the summertime b/c by 12 noon you swear it all off.....lol.

I ♥ CCO's!!

Ok, on a quick errand to Best Buy, I decided I needed to take a drive out to my outlet mall and go to a CCO...lol. The best Buy is maybe 5 minutes from my house, but the outlet mall is about 20-30 minutes, lol. So my lil 5 minute errand turned into about an 1 1/2 hour errand, lol. I picked up some NICE things!! I finally scored "X-Rocks" from the Neo Sci-Fi Collection. it's so pretty. I would give you guys swatches, but it seems like for this particular time, my camera is taking some blurry shots *rolls eyes and snarls* damn camera! LOL!

I also picked up some new shadows. Woodwinked, Top Hat and Satin taupe. I needed to build up my browns so Woodwinked and Satin Taupe will go there. Top Hat on the other hand is a pretty purple. I picked up most of the neutrals from the Starflash collection like Glamour Check, Go, Bold and Brazen , Dreamweaver and Sunset B as a splash of color. But Top Hat was the reason why I wanted the Starflash collection in general. Of it's so pretty. I can't wait to try it out!! I also scored another Kohlpower Eye pencil. I actually came back with 2 - Feline (I LOOOOOOVE THIS PENCIL!!!) and Raven. I got it just b/c it's purple....lol. if you haven't been able to tell, Purple is my die hard FAVORITE color!

OH!! I also picked up my first pigment!! Yeaaa me! I'm tryin I'm tryin, LOL! I was tellin one of my twitter friends and fellow makeup lover E. that I really don't want to fool with pigments. Why? Well, I have my babies. and if ONE of them jokas come nears it and it DROPS on the floor!!!! OH, it's on FA REAL!!! LOL. Guess what color it is though....don't worry I'll wait........give up? It's Violet, lol. I just told ya'll that I liked purple, so Violet was an absolute buy.

And to conclude my CCO rampage is the purchase of a 242 brush. I use the 252 daily so I know the 242 will be wonders for me as well.

Hey! I was inspired to do a look this morning that I saw done by one of my FAVORITE you tubers named Ateya. My GOD, she can bang out some looks that make your jaw just DROP. I just wanted to share this review on the new....well new to me, I don't know if it's a re-promo or not, mascara M.A.C. just released. It's M.A.C.'s Dazzle Lash and I freakin LOVE this stuff!!! Here's What M.A.C. describes this great product:

Ok, now these pics were taken after I used the mascara and can you see how EACH lash if defined? My lashes, in MY opinion never looked this full. Sure I have lash blast, colossal lashes, and even the lil trial version of Clinique's mascara and I love all of them. HOWEVER, this lil bottle of mascara have purchased and permanately earned a place in my makeup traincase and in my heart.....lol.I'm so glad I bought this as a "what the hell? why not" vibe...LMAO!!!

Offical M.A.C. MA????

Hey everyone!!!! Man, a LOT of things have changed since the last time I blogged.....lol. We have a NEW freakin president...yeaaaaaaaa! I Baracked the vote and FINALLY my vote meant something! The person I voted for WON!!! Oh that feels so good to know that I can make a difference in this world, ya know? Anyway, I just had to get that off my mind...lol. This entry is basically a blog but stay put b/c I'll have my FOTD at the end as always.

I was on my way to class, but I had to go to my local M.A.C. store to exchange something that I had bought online. I bought the blot powder but they sent me medium instead of dark. Now anyone who isn't familiar with M.A.C. or their products would be like ok......what's the deal? Let me break it down to ya this way. A "medium" tone powder on me would make look like I was hit with a bag of all purpose flour and the tone I needed, dark, would further help me look like the sexy mocha DIVA that I am already, just w/o the shiny ass face effect where I'm walking around all day lookin like a fresh glazed kripsy kream.....lol. It's early and I'm hungry ya'll so forgive me for that last comment, lol. Ok, now when I went in the MA got the product I asked for and so on and so forth. He went to ask me the question they ask all their customers "if I shopped here before?". of course I replied "yea, I have, I'm always here...lol. Whether it's online or here physically, I'm here.". We both shared a small laugh, well he comes out to ask if I do makeup personally and of course I don't so to speak. I've only done 3 other faces before and 2 of those faces I was a nervous wreck doing them. Oh ya'll I was shaky and sweating like I was lying in a federal court ya'll. The faces came out fab but GOD. I was so damn scared, lol. So I said I've done other folks before but I don't do it professionally. Well, I just happened to ask if they were hiring and he just lit up, lol. I mean I am a college student and I have 3 kids at home to take care of. Sure, living of my student loans are great, but I need that lil extra b/c one day I WILL have the pay them suckas off. He gave me an app. and said they were doing interviews all this week and next week so hurry and fill it out and see what happens. After that I said thank you and hit the door and went on my way to class. Well, hit up Taco Bell since I had a taste for it then went to class, lol. I had about 30 minutes to burn and a Diva was HUNGRY...lol.

Now Ya'll, I'm not gonna lie. I was like wtf did I just do??? Not saying I was intimidated, but I've seen those MA's before and they are bad ass when it comes to their makeup....even the guys like they one I talked to yesterday. He was so freakin pretty!!! LOL. I guess what I did was just stepped out the box and asked. I mean if he didn't want me there, all he had to say was no we're not hiring, right? Anyway, I need a job and I love that store and besides, since I've been going there I've never seen anyone that looks like me. Ya know? I mean no one of the Brown folks club. I know an MA at the Macy's I go to that was down the street from my old job, but not at the local store.

Anyway, just pray for me ya'll. I need a job b/c besides school, that's the ONLY thing besides my kids I look forward to everyday....and that's like a once a week class, lol. Here's the LOTD:

M.A.C. Haul!!!

Hey folks, what's up? I wanted to show you guys my haul I got over the weekend. I did pretty good, I didn't spend $150 like I thought I was gonna do, lol. I initially went in for just 1 thing..... a blush

But.....me being the person I am, I came out with a eyeshadow too, lol. I forgot M.A.C. had a new line out until I was checking it out online at work and I was like oooohhh pretty. So let me show you the pics from friday's mini haul.

Here's one of the shadows and the swatch I did to show how it looks. It's called Sea and Sky from the Electroflash Collection. Ain't it pretty, lol.





Here's the blush I bought, it's called Fluer Power. It's a nice blush to start off with if a person is just getting into M.A.C., well I think it is. It's a pinky-sheer color and compliments a lot of eyeshadows well. So far, I'm pleased with it.



The next shadow is called "Two to Glow". I LOVE this shadow duo! So far that is. I am due back for another duo I wanted to get anyway, lol. Lemme show you a pic.

Niiiiice ain't it? I know! Tomorrow, I might pick up another shadow or 2 from this collection and a Lip glass, it's still undecided but most likely I'll pass on it. In 1 weekend, I think I spent almost $100 at 1 m.a.c. counter, lol. I also posted a video of the slidehow I put together for my youtube channel, so if you have time check that out too. I'm not new to blogging but as for giving opinions, make-up reviews, and advice to folks I don't know......now that's new, lol. Anyway, I guess I can tell you about myself.
